Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh

(RSS)

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, abbreviated as RSS, is an Indian right-wing, Hindu nationalist, paramilitary volunteer organisation. The RSS is the progenitor and leader of a large body of organisations called the Sangh Parivar, which have presence in all facets of the Indian society.

Founder
RSS was founded in 1925 by Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, a doctor in the city of Nagpur, British India

Ideology
The organisation promotes the ideals of upholding Indian culture and the values of a civil society and spreads the ideology of Hindutva, to "strengthen" the Hindu community. It drew initial inspiration from European right-wing groups during World War II.

Uniform (Ganvesh)

The khaki shorts which was a part of their uniform for 90 years.

The sartorial transition marks an end to an era in the RSS whose members have for decades been identified with the khaki shorts, inspired by the uniform worn by the British constabulary.

The Sangh, which is the ideological parent of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has also approved change in the colour of socks to be worn by its volunteers, replacing the old khaki with dark brown, to go with the brown trousers they would now wear, with a white shirt and black cap.

                                          

                                       Camps
The concept of prathamik varga is to get you acquainted with Sangh's ideology and understand what Sangh really stands for.
There are 3 other camps which require seniority to attend they are
1 Pratham varga
2 Dwitiya varga
3 Tritiya varga
Without the prathamik you cannot go for the above three camps and these are usually one month long camps. It requires dedication to Sangh.
